OUTREACH AND SALES SPECIALIST

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Establish effective plans and identify opportunities for efficiencies for the outreach/sales activities for all services and programs within the Continuing Care Division.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Working with affiliate/operational leaders, develop and implement short- and long-term goals and plans needed to achieve affiliate and corporate strategic objectives related to outreach efforts/volume and sales/occupancy.

·         Maintain a current knowledge of regional/national trends in senior living outreach practices and sales.  Recommend strategies to achieve occupancy goals.

·         Research and identify best practices in outreach/sales activities for all services and programs within the Continuing Care Division.  Adapt or modify initiatives as needed to ensure achievement of sales goals.

·         Develop standardized tracking and reporting metrics for all outreach/sales activities and results.

·         Working as a team (with affiliate leadership and the outreach/sales staff), jointly accountable for meeting affiliate outreach/sales goals.

    • Troubleshoot areas where productivity is not meeting established goals to identify root cause and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Meet regularly with affiliate/operational leads to provide feedback on areas requiring additional focus, resources, oversight, or training.
    • Ensure outreach/sales staff stay motivated to achieve established goals.
    • Meet regularly with outreach/sales staff team to ensure that affiliate goals and plans are being met and provide additional guidance/coaching as needed.
    • Facilitates/leads affiliate sales meetings.
    • Monitor and evaluate outreach/sales activities to ensure effectiveness.

§  Prepare, or direct preparation of reports for the Continuing Care leadership on the outreach/sales activities at each affiliate; recommend any needed changes to improve performance or results.

§  In coordination with the SPHP Corporate Communications Director and affiliate Executive Directors/Directors, help develop the marketing and sales plans for all affiliates.

§  Provide assistance and consultation on the REPS database.

 

PREREQUISITES

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other related field required.

·         Minimum of 7 years overall experience in sales and/or marketing; at least three of those years must have been in sales with a proven track record.

·         Experience with senior population or entrance fee model sales preferred.
