The Seton Health Wellness Program is based on the Six Dimensions of Wellness which help develop the tools and resources needed to prevent disease, increase energy and develop an overall sense of well-being and strength. The six-week program focuses on identifying and implementing personal goals, learning the fundamentals of exercise and developing an easy-to-follow exercise program. Individuals who are overweight, have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, poor eating and sleeping habits, fatigue or are interested in establishing a healthier lifestyle are encouraged to attend.
The Six Dimensions of Wellness encompasses all aspects of body, mind and spirit. The dimensions are physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental. As a whole, the Six Dimensions of Wellness promotes overall wellness, success, growth and balance in one’s life.
The Seton Health Wellness Program meets three days a week for six weeks. Each week focuses on a new dimension of wellness. Along with focusing on individual dimensions, each visit includes 45 to 60 minutes of exercise. Participants will learn a variety of exercises, with an emphasis on form, safety, self-monitoring and developing progressive programs.
