At the Seton Health Incontinence Treatment Center, individualized treatment plans are designed to help patients regain the active lifestyles and peace of mind that come with bladder confidence. Incontinence is a medical condition that can afflict anyone at any age. It is generated by a variety of causes ranging from infections to hormonal imbalances to muscle weakness and other reasons. Our program treats both men and women.
Treatment is designed individually, and may include medications, biofeedback or pessaries. The Center is frequently involved in national research projects, including pharmaceutical trials, which offer additional options for patients who desire state-of-the-art care.
Many diagnostic tests can be done on site if indicated, including preoperative bladder surgery studies. Recognizing the importance of continence no matter what the age of the patient, our staff consult in several area skilled nursing facilities, in addition to the work we do in our offices. This diversity and dedication to the field resulted in the Seton Health Incontinence Treatment Center being chosen as the 2005 Continence Care Champion by the National Association for Continence.
