The Seton Health Faith Community Nursing program is an Ecumenical Ministry designed to promote health and wellness within local faith communities. A collaborative effort between faith communities and Seton Health, Faith Community Nursing is a creative way to identify and respond to the health needs of the community, enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages.
A Faith Community Nurse is a registered nurse who serves the faith community as a health educator, personal health counselor, advocate, referral agent, support group developer and volunteer coordinator.
The Faith Community Nurse promotes health and wellness, but is not a home care nurse. Our program is designed to assist faith communities in developing Faith Community Nurse Ministries which will compassionately and effectively address the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of each faith community’s members.
At Seton Health, we understand that developing such a ministry requires healthcare resources, education and guidance. Our Faith Community Nursing Director is committed to assisting you in your efforts, and is available as a mentor, educator and resource agent.
